Hey what's up friend welcome back to another episode of the daily Scott shepherd today's episode is number two oh eight yes two zero eight and it is coming to you live from Little Italy San Diego California. On a Sunday at six fifty nine post meridian today we're gonna pick up where we left off yesterday if you're not aware yet then. I am fascinated and obsessed with and have been covering lately the concept of the anti net the internet is essentially a specifically uniquely and very.

[00:37]
Importantly followed structure and not very aided in the ways in which it seems to have been bastardized and sodomized. Online bye well digital note taking apps. And the system call the internet is. Well the acronym is essentially changing every single day but it is something that revolves around in analog. No card thinking idea network. Or. But even to get into it but the bottom line is this is that if this is your first time listening right now is probably not the.

[01:25]
A episode that is going to make a whole ton of sense because I am while picking off where I left off picking up where I left off. And so. Yesterday I left off. At a point where in I made the point that you want to create hard links in hard links should be hard they should be written by hand they should not be easy to create a you do not want soft links which are digital links which are wiki links which you will find in a lot of. Note taking apps and digital apps that I've seen this trend now pick up it's like the one app to rule them all fad which is preposterous in whole areas.

[02:13]
What you want our hard links you want to do things the hard way in order to make your work perennial in last forever. It pays off in the end now that's the good part about that. Is that. It's not. Horrifically boring and burdensome to do things the hard way if you do it in the way that I will be teaching you and you'll be learning from and every single day I share some of the pieces of my early work and. The work and the writings that I am in the middle of and I intend to be releasing.

[03:00]
A book or some type of publication sharing this material so that you can actually build your own anti net and develop your own essentially super brain your own brain that. People think that are gonna start to think that you are on like steroids or something for your mind but no it's not it's. Simply by using an embracing the concept of the anti net. And the internet is the preferred term for settle Coston and settle costume is the German term for no box that was originally coined by Niklas Luhmann however that term has since been bastardized and sodomized by digital fanboys and fangirls out there that have turned it into you well aid essentially a.

[03:54]
Fancy pants terms for a note taking app that has hyperlinks between documents and that is not what it is so what I'm going to tell you today is why. You should prefer hard links and why you want a system that forces you to create hard links versus digital links versus wiki links. So why hard links over soft digital links. It all centers around the importance of deliberate selection. Selective relations not relations. Looming called his system a.

[04:36]
Communication with a a network that is essentially a relation of relations. And. If you actually look into his notes and if you actually study and analyze and try to figure out what he actually meant by what he said. It was. A selective relations. Of relations. Well it was essentially a relations of selective relations but either one works. Selective links essentially is what you can think of today and not links like not everything that you would think of.

[05:19]
That could link to a certain word should be linked where a certain document or a certain page. And it. There is a researcher named your hands Schmidt who studied. Extensively. Lumens anti net nanny spent are all of these it's what seems like a very very very long time going through. Lumens massive. No card. Internet. And he wrote a paper on it. And in the paper. Your hands Schmidt specifically calls attention to this in his extensive study on women's anti net.

[06:05]
And in order to not leave room for confusion for the reader of our time of the digital modern age. That we currently find ourselves in. Well. Schmidt. Who was the person most intimately familiar with lumens anti net. Makes sure that he places a parentheses a set around the word selective. When referring to associations and relations so selective relations. Not just relations. And he does this to ensure that the reader does not overlook the importance that one is not left with the belief that links between notes.

[06:55]
Stand as the key factor. Now he specifies that is it's not just the links between your notes that make it. A valuable system and something that will allow you to have breakthrough insights to create genius level work genius level books genius level research genius level sales letters copy writing projects anything creative. Right he says no that is not the case. He specifies that it's not links that are the key factor between your notes. It is selective links.

[07:36]
That are the key factor and your brain will know which links should be. Selected because something magical happens and it can only be explained when you're writing and creating notes and creating thoughts is that. When you're writing. It's not as if you have to force. Yourself to think about what a certain term or concept. Certain thing it a word relates to. Now it happens because you have a neuro implanted essentially and neuro imprinted which is probably a nicer phrase to use than narrow in planted something in your head because that's quite literally going to be a.

[08:26]
Real physical reality coming here soon beyond just a pigs but well I'm not referring to humans as picks but. Anyways I'm gonna get off on a not I'm gonna make sure I do not get off on a tangent so. He specifies that it is not links but it is. The selective links and something magical happens when you write by hand and you have neuro imprinted. A concept into your head which. Because it is narrow imprinted in a brother fresh way or a way in which you have because you have been using your internet you have stumbled upon and refreshed upon some old idea that it's certainly.

[09:12]
By accident almost. In your mind right when you need it most that. My friend that is a selective link. And you see the factor which makes creating a second mind a communication partner that emerges from the anti net. One that is actually insightful and fruitful and productive according to lumin is both number one the generalization of the notes such that. When one looks up a term. He or she is presented with a list of ideas to explore the term even if the branch or the field.

[09:59]
In which the. No card I. D. that you that it recommends you essentially to to look into. Comes from a completely different field or a completely different land in your internet in your brain because. You know that because it is. A hard link it is something that you had to spend life energy and effort to create. You know that. It is not just a lazy digital link that you can probably just. Not follow or resist looking into now it actually motivates you to look into it because more often than not you're gonna be surprised about your mind your second mind.

[10:51]
The genius inside of you that has come up with a brilliant idea that you have completely forgotten about until the very perfect moment where you need it which is. Likely when you're looking it up because you're working on a project or a book or something which could very very very much he was that creative insight that idea. It unlocks access accidents essentially. And. The second factor. Which makes the second mind. A. K. your communication partner your doppelganger I call mine Stewie.

[11:36]
Seem like a actual person and a super human part an extension of your brain that it's almost like your secret weapon. The second factor is this. It is something that I will share with you tomorrow because. I'm gonna be late to. Meeting up with someone and quite frankly. I do not want to be late so. Without further ado hunger. Leave this off at the perfect point to share with you tomorrow with the second factor is. In creating a anti net. And. That is essentially it so without further ado I would like to of course advise you and remind you to always remember.

[12:27]
To stay crispy my friend and I'll see you back here tomorrow. Scott Schepper over now. Consigning off. On a Sunday at seven eleven how. It's probably. Not so secretly that my one of my favorite places in the world they've got a fantastic selection of beef jerky into sometimes. They even. Do not have cockroaches in the plastic bags that they make you pay fifteen cents for here in California. When you check out. So make sure next time you go to seven eleven especially in San Diego California make sure you have your head on a swivel.

[13:14]
And you check your bag for cockroaches. So without further ado I shall sign off my friend and well since I've always reminded you and already have reminded you to stay crispy my friend. I will simply say. Enjoy. This last piece of this rock song. Rock on peace out see you tomorrow bye.
